“The palace clock tower has turned against the city, and the machines now hold the Steam King prisoner.”

The premise

Return to the brass-and-smoke capital that once banished you, now locked under the rhythm of a rebellious clock tower. Mechanical guards patrol the streets, citizens whisper in fear, and every gear above the palace seems to be counting down to something worse.

You play the disgraced royal mechanic who understands the tower better than anyone alive. To stop the coup, you will need to read the city’s broken machinery, decide whom to trust, and find a path into the tower before its hidden command system tightens control.

The obvious rescue may not be the smartest one. The tower has a logic of its own, and the first clue to freeing the Steam King may be lying in the wreckage at your feet.

Who you are

Once the royal mechanic, your experiments pushed the limits of steam and steel. A failed prototype nearly sank the harbor, and you were banished from the court you helped modernize. Now the machines you once dreamed of building have become instruments of occupation, and the city’s survival depends on whether you can outthink your own legacy.

Your objective

Disrupt the main clock tower's control mechanism and rescue the Steam King from captivity.

The kind of choices you'll face

A few illustrative examples — in play, choices are written for the exact situation you're in:

  • Duck into a nearby alley to assess the patrol routes and pressure vents.
  • Listen to the panicked whispers of fleeing citizens for a safer way into the palace district.
  • Examine the fallen automaton for clues about who is controlling the tower.

And when none of the options say what you actually want to do, write your own action — the story responds to it just the same.
