“Sobek’s sacred crown has been stolen, and the Nile is rising like a god’s anger made water.”

The premise

Step into a mythic Egypt where Sobek’s stolen crown has turned the Nile against the living. Floodwaters tear at villages, priests whisper blame, and ancient temple carvings point toward a thief no one dares name.

You play a historian haunted by visions of gold sinking beneath black water. To save the land, you must read ruined shrines, bargain with frightened witnesses, and decide how much of yourself to offer when the crocodile god begins answering back.

Who you are

You are a historian whose life’s work has been the study of Sobek’s cult, river temples, and half-erased dynastic records. Until now, those myths stayed safely inside papyrus rolls and museum glass. Then the dreams began: a golden crown sinking through dark water, crocodile eyes opening below it, and a voice that knew your name. You understand the symbols others miss, but you are still mortal, afraid, and painfully aware that the god calling you may not care whether you survive the task.

Your objective

Recover Sobek’s sacred crown and halt the catastrophic floods before the Nile swallows the surrounding temples, villages, and royal court.

The kind of choices you'll face

A few illustrative examples — in play, choices are written for the exact situation you're in:

  • Watch the rushing floodwaters for signs of Sobek’s will.
  • Examine the temple carvings for clues about the stolen crown.
  • Speak with the panicked fishermen before fear turns into accusation.

And when none of the options say what you actually want to do, write your own action — the story responds to it just the same.
