Science Fiction / HorrorSci-fi rescue horror on a silent orbital station
A derelict orbital station silhouetted against a dark planet, one light still burning

“The dead station answers your hail with your own voice.”

The premise

Your shuttle is bleeding air, and the only shelter in range is a relay station that has been officially dead for twelve years. Kestrel is dark, silent — and answering your hail in your own voice.

Last Signal is survival horror at conversation pace: dock or drift, explore or barricade, answer the voice or cut the channel. The scenario sets the stakes; your choices decide what Kestrel turns out to be.

You play: Emergency pilot answering a forbidden distress signal

The kind of choices you'll face

A few illustrative examples — in play, choices are written for the exact situation you're in:

  • Dock at Kestrel's ruined bay before your oxygen decides for you.
  • Scan the station for life signs before committing to dock.
  • Answer the voice — ask it where it learned your callsign.

And when none of the options say what you actually want to do, write your own action — the story responds to it just the same.

What your choices can change

  • Whether Kestrel becomes your rescue or your tomb
  • What you learn about the station's twelve silent years
  • Your oxygen, equipment, and character state as resources run down
