MysteryStormy lighthouse mystery with supernatural pressure
A lighthouse on a storm-battered rock, its lamp glowing an eerie green through fog

“The lighthouse door locks itself behind you as the fog starts knocking.”

The premise

Blackwater Light has been empty since its last keeper vanished — officially. Tonight the lamp is burning green, the storm has cut off the mainland, and the door has locked itself behind you. Something in the fog knows your name, and it should not.

You investigate at your own pace: follow the logbook, the lamp, or the knocking. Each choice pushes the mystery in a different direction, and the story adapts to the order in which you uncover its secrets.

You play: Storm-trapped investigator with a name no one here should know

The kind of choices you'll face

A few illustrative examples — in play, choices are written for the exact situation you're in:

  • Climb to the lamp room and face whatever is burning green.
  • Search the keeper's logbook for the night he vanished.
  • Answer the knocking — using the name no one here should know.

And when none of the options say what you actually want to do, write your own action — the story responds to it just the same.

What your choices can change

  • Which of the lighthouse's secrets you uncover — and in what order
  • Your relationship with whatever else is inside Blackwater Light
  • Your character's condition and inventory as the storm closes in
